1. What is Latisse®

Latisse® (0.03% bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) is a prescription treatment for inadequate or thin eyelashes. It is the first FDA-approved medical aesthetics treatment specifically designed to stimulate eyelash growth by increasing length and thickness. It is thought to work by extending the duration of the growth phase of the eyelashes and by increasing the number of hairs going through the growth phase.

2. What results should I anticipate with Latisse®?

When used as directed, Latisse should give you longer, fuller and darker eyelashes.

3. When can I expect to see results?

With regular applications of Latisse, most patients will see results as early as 4 weeks with full growth by week 16.  This treatment will remain effective as long as you stay consistent with regular applications.

4. How do I use Latisse®

Using the provided applicator, apply Latisse solution across the base of your upper eyelashes once daily.

5. Are there any side effects?

Side effects related to the use of Latisse include eye redness, itchy eyes, and darkening of the eyelid skin, which may be reversed once applications are stopped.  There is a potential of increased brown iris pigmentation, however, which is likely to be permanent.
